NEW YORK, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Crude prices declined Thursday on concerns that the U.S. economy may slow down in the next year.
The Conference Board, an economic research group, said Thursday its index of leading indicators dropped 0.4 percent in November to the lowest level in more than two years.
Traders worry that a slowing economy will mean reduced demand for oil and gasoline.
Light, sweet crude for February delivery fell 18 cents to 91.06U.S. dollars on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
In London, February Brent crude futures fell 60 cents to 90.88 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange.
